Promoting Peace Through World Fellowship

Rotary Member smiling

We are a community of professionals that are driven to work across professions to gather together to learn and serve, while building peace and goodwill. At The Rotary Club of Minneapolis, we are truly connected to the whole world. We are constantly looking for ways to work together in Minneapolis and collaborate with other Rotarians around the world.

Club 9 has a proud legacy of being the 9th Rotary Club, established in 1913. We are not acting alone, we are linked to 34,000 Rotary Clubs across the globe. Our club carries out Rotary core values that are shown in everything we do.

Ethical Standards

Encouraging high ethical standards and respect for all worthy vocations has been a hallmark of Rotary. Every member is encouraged to use Rotary’s Four Way Test to shape what we say and do. Before making key decisions, we ask four questions:

    1. Is it the truth?
    2. Is it fair to all concerned?
    3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
    4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Rotarians are dedicated to providing their time and resources to bettering the lives of others. With the application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s occupation, we can create opportunities to serve society.

Our club is a community of dedicated and like-minded professionals who enjoy coming together at club meeting and other events. Rotarians enjoy camaraderie with like-minded professionals, and club projects provide opportunities to develop enduring contacts in almost every city in the world.

Rotary is an organization of successful professionals. Team builders, fundraising, public speaking, planning, organizing and communications are some of the leadership skills that club members can exercise and enhance. Being a Rotary leader provides more experience in motivating, inspiring and guiding others.
