Become A Member

Membership in the Rotary Club of Minneapolis begins when you come to a meeting to meet us and introduce yourself. After you check in at the registration table as a guest and prospective member, a Rotary Club member will serve as your host that day.

After the meeting, a club member will contact you so we know your membership interests and you can learn more about our Rotary Club fellowship, Friday meetings, and service activities.

Membership Application

Once a Club member approaches you to join our Club as your sponsor, he/she will help you fill in the application you can download here. After you complete the membership form, the club member sponsor completes the sponsor form and then gives it to the Club Administrator for follow-up club action.

Dual Membership

Effective November 1, 2016, each member may appoint a secondary member to their membership. This secondary member must be 1) a co-worker at the member’s company or organization or 2) a family member. Family member is defined as spouse, partner, mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister, brother-in-law or sister-in-law, mother-in-law or father-in-law. The goal is for the primary member to share the Friday lunch when unable to attend and thus expose others to Rotary.

The secondary member may attend the Friday lunch meeting at no charge in the member’s absence. If both the primary member and secondary member attend a meeting, one normal lunch charge will be billed or is due for lunch. Additionally, the secondary member may attend any social or business events of the club as well as participate in committee meetings.Secondary members complete the Secondary Membership Form.

Corporate Membership

Corporate Membership offers 2 for 1 value for a company or organization, providing TWO memberships: one for the “corporate sponsoring member,” usually the CEO or a senior executive, and a second “attending member,” a designated individual from the organization that will regularly attend Rotary meetings and participate in club learning, fellowship, and service. Both members enjoy the benefits of membership and are listed in the directory as active members.

To apply for corporate membership the corporate sponsoring member should fill out the form below. Then the attending member will fill out the individual membership application above. Corporate Memberships also require sponsors and the sponsorship form.

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

After your application is submitted…

Applications are submitted to a special committee who will attach a vocational classification describing your vocation (this “classification” is a Rotary International tradition that serves to highlight individual vocations as part of honoring work). Then the application goes to the Club board and Club membership for action. This process may take up to three weeks. You are welcome to continue attending during this process, and will officially be considered a member on the meeting following the club vote on your membership.

Membership Dues/Fees:

  • Dues: Members pay approximately $120 per month, which includes lunches for all our Friday meetings.
  • One-Time Installation Fee: $100.
  • All members are billed on a semi-annual basis, but are encouraged to pay monthly, automatic billing is available.
