I’m interested in joining Club #9, what should I do next?
-
We always have room for more members!
• The membership process follows the Rotary Club’s long-standing tradition of requiring a current member to “sponsor” a new member. If you know any of our members, ask them for more information about Rotary and let them know of your interest.
• If you do not know any members, please contact us, and one of our members will reply promptly.
• We also urge you to come to any of our upcoming Friday lunch meetings to meet Rotarians and learn about Club #9.
How is Rotary organized?
-
Rotary is made up of three parts: Clubs, Rotary International (RI), and the Rotary Foundation (TRF). Clubs bring together dedicated individuals to exchange ideas, build relationships, and take action. Rotary International supports clubs worldwide by coordinating global programs, campaigns, and initiatives. Then the Rotary Foundation uses generous donations to fund projects by Rotarians and our partners in communities around the world. As a nonprofit, all of TRF's funding comes from voluntary contributions made by Rotarians and friends who share our vision of a better world. Together, Rotary clubs, Rotary International, and The Rotary Foundation work to make lasting improvements in our communities and around the world.
When and where does the meeting take place?
What should I expect when I arrive at a meeting?
-
When you arrive at the Minneapolis Club the signs on each floor will indicate our meeting room for that day. On that floor, look for our banners and our registration table. Our sign-in tables have nametags for current members, and a sign-in area for guests and visiting Rotarians. The Club Administrator and Secretary will be standing at the sign-in table, where they will greet you and hand you a couple of brief forms to fill out so that we can introduce you to the club during the meeting. You will fill out a name tag and have a chance to network with members before going through the buffet lunch.
Where should I park when attending a meeting?
-
You can park at the Minneapolis Club. When you enter their ramp let the attendant know that you are with Rotary. You pay them $5 cash and do not need to take a ticket. Minneapolis Rotary has discount parking passes for the 333 South 7th Street ramp available when you check in for the meeting. This ramp is one block from the Minneapolis Club. Hourly discounted rates are approximately $5. There are also metered on-street parking spaces which accept cash and credit cards and there are several parking ramps near the Club.
