The Rotary Club of Minneapolis is a diverse collection of civic-minded business and professional leaders. We join together for fellowship, professional enrichment, and the opportunity to serve. Our members contribute their time, expertise, and money to improve the community, and to foster international understanding and goodwill.
The mission of Club #9 is summed up in three words.
Learn, Connect, Serve.
Connect
A place where you can make deeper connections.
Serve
A place where you can do good for others.
The youth in our communities and around the world are in our every thought and our every action. Rotary has long been a leader in the effort to eradicate Polio. Our members have also joined clubs around the world to bring running water to schools in Guatemala and lead immunization efforts in Nepal. Here at home, we provide direct support for Eastside Neighborhood Services and scholarships for students across the metro area. The opportunities to live our purpose of Service above Self are endless here.
The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
High ethical standards in business and professions;
The recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations;
The dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
