Although Club #9 has evolved to fit the needs of today’s professionals, our core values continue to be strong. Some things simply endure the test of time. Rotarians use the Four Way Test to guide decisions of what we think or do.
The Rotarian Four-Way Test
We value the truth.
Before speaking or acting, alone or as a team, are we working from a foundation of truth?
We value fairness.
Fairness can only be achieved when everyone is considered. Before we move ahead with an idea, event, or initiative, we insist that it is fair to all concerned.
We value friendship.
Superficial connections in business are no connections at all. We value lasting bonds here, whether they’re formed in learning, business, or in the service of others. Business networking, in its best form, is about forming lasting bonds.
We value benefit for all.
We live in a world where so many are left behind. Under served. Under privileged. Or simply ignored by a society too busy to take notice. John F. Kennedy once said that a rising tide lifts all boats. In all of our words and all of our actions we ask ourselves, are we working for the benefit of all?
